Liability Insurance Policy
GMSQUEST maintains professional indemnity and general liability cover for its certification activities, per ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Clause 4.1.5.
GMSQuest Certifications Pvt. Ltd. recognizes that certification activities may involve financial, legal, or reputational risks, and therefore maintains adequate arrangements to cover liabilities arising from such activities. In accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Clause 4.1.5, GMSQuest accepts full legal and financial responsibility for all certification services it performs, including those carried out on its behalf by auditors, experts, or subcontractors.
To manage these risks, GMSQuest maintains a valid Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy to protect against claims of errors, omissions, or negligence, and, where applicable, maintains a General Liability Insurance Policy to cover third-party damages during audits. In addition, financial reserves are maintained as an added safeguard to ensure the organization's continued ability to meet liabilities.
The Managing Director is responsible for ensuring that insurance policies remain valid and are renewed on time, while the Technical Manager maintains copies of insurance policies, premium payment receipts, and other related records as controlled documents. The Board of Directors periodically reviews and approves the adequacy of liability coverage and financial safeguards through formal Board Resolutions.
As part of the management system, liability coverage is reviewed annually during Management Review meetings to confirm adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Risks arising from certification activities are periodically evaluated to ensure that liability coverage is proportionate to the scope and scale of operations. Evidence of liability coverage shall be made available to accreditation bodies and clients upon request.
All supporting records are maintained as evidence of liability coverage, including copies of insurance policies, proof of premium payments, Board Resolutions authorizing financial safeguards, and Management Review minutes confirming periodic review. By maintaining these arrangements, GMSQuest ensures that it has the financial stability and safeguards necessary to protect its clients, stakeholders, and reputation, while demonstrating ongoing compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 requirements.
